The revival tent at the Chapel of Change in Paramount was filled with people all day May 15 hearing the good word – hundreds of people attended in groups of about 80 throughout the day.
The good word these congregants were receiving came not from the church pastor; however, but from Jesus Arredondo, the Occupational Health and Safety Manager at SkillsetGroup staffing and consulting company. Arredondo and our cadre of HR experts held the event to give the employees at one of our larger clients vital training on workplace safety; the dangers of horseplay around industrial equipment and proper workplace conduct to avoid sexual harassment complaints.

We took the initiative to reach out to the Chapel of Change with a donation in return for use of their beautiful, well-manicured grounds, complete with parking and a tent already set up. We provided the church with extra revenue to support their local mission and our clients with a COVID-secure, outdoor space already outfitted for a compelling presentation with plenty of room for social distancing.
That’s the kind of win-win proposition we love at SkillsetGroup, and proof that no obstacle, pandemic or otherwise, will stop our team from delivering for our clients.
These particular trainings satisfy the educational requirements of Senate Bill 778, but we aren’t just checking boxes with our safety trainings.
