Clint Armstrong- CEO | Founder, SkillsetGroup
Mr. Armstrong is the founder and CEO of SkillsetGroup, where he has helped to take the company from 30+ full time employees and grossing over $10,000,000+ in sales within the first 48 months of operating. Since the company’s inception, Mr. Armstrong’s vision, mission, and values have propelled the company into working with some of the largest manufacturing, engineering, and technology companies in the world. Mr. Armstrong was featured in the Orange County Register article titled, “Staffing Agency Stays Vested with the City,” where he was interviewed & recognized by Fred Swegles for starting one of the hottest, most promising start-ups in staffing. Mr. Armstrong’s unique approach to human resources management has rooted himself as one of the up and coming stars in Staffing and HR Vendor Services. Mr. Armstrong is responsible for overseeing and managing all operations at SkillSet Group, along with manifesting the company’s future endeavors including long-term equity partnerships. Prior to launching SkillSet Group, Mr. Armstrong held 10 years of corporate experience in the fields of finance, real estate, and corporate staffing. Mr. Armstrong attended the University of San Diego, where he was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Accountancy and Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate, Entrepreneurship and Venture Finance.
Steve Vierra- COO, SkillsetGroup
Steve Vierra is the Co-Founder, and COO of SkillSet Group LLC, where he and Co-Founder Clint Armstrong built the company to 10 full time employees within the first 10 months of existence. SkillSet Group was recognized by The Orange County Register as one of the hottest new startups in Staffing. Mr. Vierra is responsible for supporting operations, budget planning, sales & recruiting, new hires, HR compliance, business development, and training of new employees. Prior to SkillSet Group, Mr. Vierra spent 11 years working in the Real Estate and Mortgage industries in a variety of roles, learning the ins and outs of loan customer origination, brokering, bank negotiation, indexes, contracts, and team building. Mr. Vierra earned his A.A. in Psychology from Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA.
Jose Baca - Chief Marketing Officer, SkillsetGroup
As the Chief Marketing Officer of SkillsetGroup, Jose Baca brings over 12+ years of corporate staffing and recruiting experience within the manufacturing industry. Jose started his career working for Alcoa as an onsite manager where he helped the grow the company and manage their workforce solutions. After leaving Alcoa, he worked for two staffing companies where he helped grow their divisions and managed a book of business more than $10,000,000. Jose brings over 10 years of skilled labor staffing experience working with Fortune 500 companies such as Alcoa, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Tyson Foods, Honeywell, General Dynamics, International Paper, Kimberly Clark, ConAgra, and Aramark to name a few. Jose’s professional network and reputation for assisting professionals with new careers has allowed him to succeed over the years and continue to grow relationships and business partnerships. Jose was born in his grandma’s house to two hardworking immigrants in his Mexico home town of Guanajuato. At the age of 4 his parents made the decision to relocate to California and chase the American dream in hopes of finding a better future. With a hard-working attitude and humble upbringing, Jose’s success has come from learning to relate to both candidates and customers. Mr. Baca earned his Associates in Administration of Justice from Cerritos College in Cerritos, CA.
Steve K. Coppola - Chief Information Officer
Mr. Coppola has been the Chief Information Officer, and Director of Recruitment for SkillSet Group, LLC., since October, 2013. He has initiated, or developed systems for IT security, vendor management, internal communication and organizational planning, as well as data retention and management. As Director of Recruitment, he oversaw the creation and expansion of the sales/recruiting force. He developed and implemented criteria, and standard operating procedures for candidate selection, aa well as client sales presentation.
Formerly, Mr. Coppola managed supply chain software, and associated training for CVS Health Corp. (CVS) –NYSE on a local level from 2009 – 2013. He also functioned as a shift manager, overseeing general operations, employee and customer relations.
