Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other winter holiday, chances are the youngsters in your life are expecting presents.
Because we work so closely with global product manufacturers here at SkillsetGroup, our research and marketing department was curious which toys this holiday season were the biggest sellers in 2021.
The most popular holiday gifts this year include Nintendo’s portable game console, the Switch. It’s been around for years at this point; Nintendo has sold nearly 100 million over the lifetime of the product. It’s the most popular gaming console this year with 1.13 million sold this holiday season so far.
But Hasbro’s Galactic Snackin’ Grogu is no slouch, either. Driven by the popular Mandalorian series on Netflix, part of the Star Wars franchise, sales of this little green guy have helped drive Hasbro’s sales up nearly 20% this holiday season compared with last.
And, just when we all thought stand-alone still cameras were dead for good, enter the KidiZoom PrintCam. This toy camera is objectively nifty, but nothing special to the generation who grew up with Polaroids. The KidiZoom prints a physical copy of your photo once you shoot it. There are also games and software on the device, however, so it's not a complete throwback.
