In honor of Veterans Day, SkillsetGroup would like to highlight the contributions of one of our most prominent veteran employees, Jeff Franco, our vice president of specialty staffing.
Jeff spent six years in the Marine Corps, honorably discharged as a Corporal. Jeff went through boot camp in Parris Island, South Carolina.
He served as a fire control technician working on radar and electronic weapons systems on F-4 Phantom fighter jets.
He spent most of his time in Arizona; however, he also deployed all over the U.S. and on aircraft carriers for training exercises and other duties.
“There’s something you learn about people in the military,” Jeff said. “You learn about leadership – the most important lesson? Respect is earned. You can’t just demand it because of a title.”
We’re certainly lucky Jeff is lending his leadership skills to our firm to help us rocket onto the national stage.
Jeff isn't our only vet on staff; our fine technical recruiter Marc Kroll who works out of corporate served as an active-duty Marine, a member of a battalion landing team that “hit the beaches” from landing craft.
He was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal after serving from 1995-99.
Marc completed boot camp just a little way down the coast at the MCRD San Diego.
“The Corps taught me the importance of discipline, respect and making things work, no matter the obstacle.”
Thank you, Jeff, Marc, and all our SkillsetGroup employees with a U.S. Armed Forces history. We salute you!
