Paper Mills Superintendent

Skillset Group is seeking a Paper Mill Superintendent to work in the city of Prewitt, NM area. The Paper Mill Superintendent is responsible for leading paper machine operations in a manufacturing facility, driving a strong safety culture, improving production performance, and developing operations teams. This leadership role oversees daily production, coordinates maintenance activities and capital projects, troubleshoots equipment and process issues, and partners with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency. Job Title: Paper Mills Superintendent

Pay: $110-140K/yr. + bonus (based off performance of company and annual salary)

Location: Prewitt, NM

Shift: Monday – Friday, Flexibility 24/7 facility

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with paper mill experience required. 
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent industry experience and leadership background will be considered. 
• Proven experience leading paper machine operations, coaching and developing employees, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Strong knowledge of paper manufacturing processes, paper machines, and supporting equipment with the ability to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. 
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities, planned outages, budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement projects. 
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, production processes, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices. 
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP or other ERP systems.
