SkillsetGroup is seeking a Mills Machinist to work in the city of Pomona, CA area.  The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to fabricate or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines. They work according to specific dimensions, tolerances, and sequences of operations outlined in specifications such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts, or verbal descriptions. The Machinist plans and executes tasks using a variety of machine tools, including boring tools, calipers, drills, grinders, lathes, milling cutters, and workshop presses.  This will be a 1st Shift position and a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.  To apply, email rmills@skillsetgroup.com

Job Order Details:

Job Title:  Machinist  (Mills experience)

Shift: 1st shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Pay: $22-28/hr.

Location:  Pomona, CA

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mills Machinist.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, charts, and tables.
• Capable of editing and writing simple programs.
• Skilled in working to dimensions and tolerances specified in blueprints.
• Experienced in setting up, operating, and maintaining various machine tools.
• Monitor machine speed and feed during the machining process.
• Proficient in both CNC and manual machining.
• Bilingual a BIG plus.
